The Ball Is Rolling!
June 26, 2008So yesterday received the contract between embryo donor lady and I. I initialed and signed it and have sent it back to her. I also called the embryologist at the clinic and spoke with her. She is super nice and she asked for a brief history of my infertility. She asked how aggressive I wanted to be. I was pleasantly surprised at how aggressive she will let be. It is amazing the differences between clinics. I hear about it a lot, but now, personally experiencing it… so weird. My old clinic was VERY conservative. This clinic, not so. Anyway, she was great. Very informative and very excited for me. After speaking to her I called the front desk again to set up a phone consult with Dr. W. My medical records will be sent to them in roughly 15 days. So, I have a phone consult set up for July 18th at 12:30. I will be on vacation that day, but I will make time to visit with him!! Also, just as an FYI, the gal at the front desk, L, she was also sweet as pie. So far I am very happy with them and it looks to be a good fit.
My period should be here on July 1st. I will put myself on BCP’s to start a downgrade. I have the meds I need from last time, so that is good. Hopefully I will be ready for a FET in August. I will do baseline, bloodwork and lining check here. Hopefully my clinic here will be accommodating and let that happen. If there were REALLY nice they won’t charge me for it, since I have a pre-paid FET that I obviously won’t be using with them. Maybe they can just let the BW, baseline and lining check slide… here is to hoping right?!?!?! They are still making money.. right… LOL
I feel really good. Very comfortable and at peace with this. If it is going to work, it is going to work with these embabies. Plus, I get to hang in San Diego for a few days… whoo hooo! I think my sister is going to drive down with me. When we were young we drove to SD every summer for a week… we haven’t done it in a while, so it should be fun.
So, that is the latest! I will keep you posted as I hear more!

Glad to hear that things are moving along and I hope this works out for August. How very cool. And a trip to SD does sound like fun.
I am so excited for you! No one deserves this more than you! So, you will be on estrogen and progesterone then? Cool thing about this cycle is that if you POAS and its positive then you are good to go! No trigger shot to worry about!
